Rev. Timothy E. Ruffin, was truly an Educator who profoundly affected all those who sat under his teaching, be it God’s Holy Word the Bible, or as a Art teacher at the Barrett Jr. High School for over thirty years of his life.
As former president of New Life he brought more adequate knowledge of Biblical truths. He graduated from Philadelphia College of Bible, Manna Bible Institute, and Temple University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. He pastored the Beulah Baptist Church of Philadelphia for twenty years.
With his burning passion for the word of God he taught and preached it with an urgency. His goal was that any one who wanted to study the Word of God would be able to do so without the expense of tuition. The Lord honored this testimony. New Life is still flourishing after 33 years as we continue to follow this vision.
On September 7, 1998 the Lord called Pastor Ruffin home to be with Him. Rev. Ruffin leaves a great legacy and will always be remembers for his upright living and stand on the Word of God.
He is sadly missed, but we shall meet him in the air on the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
